Framing an A4 digital print.

Whether you buy a downloadable digital image from me or someone else, You probably want to display it in a frame. There are basically two types of frame (apart from the frame style), one with a matte and one without.

Whether you buy a downloadable digital image from me or someone else, You probably want to display it in a frame. There are basically two types of frame (apart from the frame style), one with a mount and one without. The frame without the mount is easy, just take the back off your frame, drop your image in, put the back of the frame back and that's it. Job done!
However if you prefer using a mount, which in my opinion enhances the look of the image, it's slightly trickier.
A Guide to Framing Your A4 Print Perfectly
This simple method ensures your print is securely mounted for a clean, gallery-quality look.
The Challenge: The aperture (cutout) of the frame mount is often almost the same size as your A4 print, meaning the image can easily fall through. We use this technique to guarantee a secure, professional fit.
Step-by-Step Framing Method:
Open the Frame: Remove the backing board and the card mount/matting insert.
Position the Print: Take your image and gently push the longest side of the print's edge into the back of the mount opening.
Secure with Tape (The Key Step): Attach your image to the back of the mount using four small, temporary pieces of archival or sellotape placed only on the corners.
Check Alignment: Turn the mount over to confirm the image is positioned exactly as you desire and that everything fits nicely in the mount opening.
Final Seal: Turn the mount back over. Without removing the small corner pieces, place a full-length strip of tape down each side of the back of the image. This permanently secures the print to the mount.
Reassemble: Place the fully secured print and mount back into the frame, put the backing board on top, and secure the frame backings.
Your image is now framed to a professional standard!
Having said all that, if you buy an image from me, they are professionally printed and come with a border around the A4 or A3 print which saves you a great deal of hassle.
